We're Aysia and Xavier. A husband and wife who somehow built a life around cameras, light, and the kind of moments most people only half-remember.

We're based in Kentucky, we love to travel, and we genuinely love what we do.

Aysia

My aunt was a lifestyle photographer. I would tag along with her on some of her sessions. My mom also had a love for art, but in the form of paintings. Seeing the way those women viewed art in different ways moved me to develop a love for it as well, in the form of photography. I eventually got a camera for myself, and the rest is history.

My love for art is behind my photography. It grew into a business, then into a career, and now into something I can't imagine my life without.

I just get to do it with Xavier now, which makes it better.

Xavier

I came to photography differently. I was also interested in art from a young age. A family friend handed me an old Canon film camera one afternoon, and I was just taking pictures of what interested me.

One of those things was a puddle. Muddy water, bare branches reflected in it — nothing interesting, really. But when the film came back, it didn't look like a puddle at all. It looked like snow. Clean, quiet, completely different from what I'd seen when I pressed the shutter.

That was the moment I understood what photography actually was. It's not about documenting what's there. It's about noticing what other people walk right past.

That instinct — looking for the angle nobody else is looking from, finding something real in something ordinary — is still what drives me every time I pick up a camera.

Together

We make a good team, and not just because we're married.

Aysia is the one who knows how to make you feel at ease in front of a camera. She doesn't bark directions — she prompts. She'd rather say "walk toward me like you just remembered something funny" than "chin down, shoulders back, smile." What comes back almost always looks more like you than any posed photo could.

Xavier works the edges. He's always looking for the shot nobody else thought to look for — through a window, through a glass, from an angle that makes an ordinary moment look like something else entirely. At weddings, groomsmen photos are where he gets to have the most fun — a case of beer as a prop, the whole crew piled onto a golf cart, everyone up on a big rock somewhere they probably shouldn't be. The goal is always a memory they actually want to look back at, not just a lineup.

Between the two of us, very little gets missed.

What We Believe

We believe a photograph should look like the day actually felt, not like a filtered, AI-polished version of it.

Every photo we deliver is edited by hand, the same way every time. We'll clean up a stray pimple or something distracting in the background, but that's about it. No AI software deciding what your day looked like. No generated skies or smoothed-out skin. If it's in the photo, it's because it was actually there.

It's part of why we shoot some 35mm film alongside digital. Film holds onto something digital doesn't quite reach — a texture, a warmth, a feel that's a little more real and a little less processed. It's not precious or nostalgic for its own sake. It just looks the way memory actually feels.
